About Us

aboutexoticbuddha

Our Mission:

We will transform tourism in Nepal by providing local community people and tourists a richer environment to collaborate and plan travel.

Our Vision:

We envision a Nepal transformed by socially aware tourism – a world where local people more fully participate in the tourism economy and foreign/local tourists find/gain richer experiences. We are building a direct bridge between them.

Exoticbuddha will offer an meritocratic online market place for Nepal’s tourism industry that lowers the existing barriers for local travel stakeholders and travel communities to be entrepreneurial, visible and connected with the travellers. We are building a direct bridge between travellers and local communities here in Nepal.

This is aimed firstly at local guides, or local hotel owners in off the beaten track places who are unable to promote themselves in the exclusive and crowded marketplace in Kathmandu, Nepal. Secondly, to independent tourists who want to do something different to the rest of the crowd, save on agents fees and have a holiday that makes a difference. 500,000 tourists visit Nepal every year and we estimate that in a few years all of them will be online and looking for services through online marketplace such as ours and our competitors. There is a billion Indian and Chinese population on either side of Nepal that is rapidly looking for ways to travel as a form of enjoyment. Nepal being smack in the middle, is ripe to take this opportunity.

While we will offer business services to help the local travel stake holders to have an equal footing on the online marketplace,  we will also generate a portion of our revenue from advertising. We also provide free-mium services to the local stakeholders.

Additionally, ExoticBuddha.com is a guide to those of you who wish to travel to Nepal.
