  1. I saw a post on this site's blog about the start of the paragliding service from Kathmandu valley. Is that still operational? If yes, where can I contact to paraglide from Kathmandu?

  2. The paragliding service from Kathmandu has been stopped for the moment due to complications in the aviation safety, as the spot for jumping in Lalitpur (Kathmandu valley) lies on the route of international air traffic. There is no certainty whether the service is going to resume.

In the meantime, if you are paragliding enthusiast, then use the services provided in Pokhara by Frontiers Paragliding (phone 061-522127) and Blue Sky Paragliding (phone 061-534737, 535015).

  4. Kathmandu Paragliding has resumed its operations from Lakhure Bhanjyang in Lalitpur. The service was suspended for some time after its start during last year.

The paragliding launch site is 1.5 hours away from central Kathmandu by 4*4 jeep. However, the distance will be reduced to half when the roadway from Godavari is completed, which is expected by Feb 15.
