The National Park Visitor Center in Sauraha has displays on wildlife and an office in which you can book elephant rides. You can also see elephants from the elephant breeding center bathing nearby during lunchtime. The office opens from 7 am to 6:30 pm.

The Chitwan National Park Headquarters (phone 056- 521932) is inside the park at Kasara. It is about 13 kilometers west of Sauraha on the south bank of Rapti River. It has a small visitor center, which displays wildlife and a gharial-breeding project. The office opens from 7 am to 6.30 pm.
