There are government owned and private elephants in the park. Government owned elephants leave the visitor center at 8 am and 4 pm daily. The one and half hour long elephant safari costs Rs 1000 ($15) for foreigners and Rs 400 ($ 6) for the members of SAARC countries. Some private elephant safaris cost Rs 550 ($
plus the park fees and last for two and half hours.
