How much is the departure (airport) tax for international flights?

The departure (airport) tax for international flights is Rs. 1695 (around US$ 25) and Rs. 1356 (around US$ 20) for those flights in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries (i.e. Bhutan, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan).

Out of the total departure tax, Rs 565 (around US$ 8 ) is the Tourism Service Fee.

You can pay the departure tax at the Nabil Bank branch office, in the airport ( Phone: 4472278, 4488937).

    I think the cost is now included in the ticket price itself. So, this would remove the hassle of carrying some cash with you when traveling out of Kathmandu.
