Where is Khaptad National Park located?

It is located in Doti district, the far western part of Nepal. You can reach the Park area by flying to Nepalgunj or Dhangadi. From Dhangadi direct buses are available to Silgadhi, Doti. From Silgadhi Bazar you have to hike 6 hours to the Park entrance and another 7 to 8 hours to the Park Headquarters.

The  core area of the park is an important religious site for the Nepalese, the hermitage (ashram) of the Khaptad Baba, a sage who lived in the park. The park is named after him.
