The Pokhara bus station is towards the east end of Bharatpur on the road to Mugling. There are regular buses to Kathmandu (day/night, $2.4/$2.5, four hours) and Pokhara (day/night, $1.8/$2.2, four hours). Minivans to Pokhara and Kathmandu are also available. There are a few buses, which take you to Gorkha for $1.4.
Buses run regularly to Butwal ($1.2, two hours), Sunauli/Bhairawa ($2.3, three hours), Birgunj ($2.2, three hours), Janakpur ($2.3, six hours), Nepalgunj ($4.7, eight hours), Biratnagar (day/night $6/6.2, nine hours), Kakarbhitta (day/night $6.3/7.4, 12 hours) and Mahendranagar ($8.8, 12 hours).
